Many will perish, by many varied means; war, starvation, drowning, drought/thirst, name-that-catastrophe, suicide, terrorism. But on the bright side, a few will become trillionaires. Maybe they’ll throw a few crumbs your way.
Talk about can’t draw elephants! India borders Turkey? Two countries separate Poland from Germany? No Libya between Algeria and Egypt? NO Switzerland??? Cartographers first ;-)
The down side of protectionism everyone else does it too. But how do you protect yourself from another company dumping below cost items like steel? It wrecked our own steel industry as it was intended.

It is not borders which are causing the lack of peace,but the crossing of borders, intruding into the borders of others.The desire to place ones citizens first,within a nation has never caused harm.
Sadly, too many commentators have forgotten … “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that ALL men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.” -— Seems that too few here apply these truths!
