I am sure moving out of the WH will be bittersweet for the Obamas. It has been a lot of work for them, but I am sure they feel very worried about the future. Having a teen daughter myself, I know how important it is to let them stay at the high school they have been attending can be also. Uprooting a kid should be avoided if possible. At long last, they are only human beings. They have been attacked unfairly for their entire time in office. I also have relatives living in Hawaii and know that it is important to see your family no matter where they live, and was saddened to see the Obamas berated every time they went to see them for the holidays. Many of us do the same as we have the natural desire to spend time with family during the holidays, just like other human beings.
If this election has proven anything, it’s shown how broke both political parties are and how without strong leadership and a sense of purpose, how divided WE are. The problem is, it has become no longer we but an entire system of “us’s” and “them’s.”
I hope my predictions are wrong, but Russia will invade the rest of the Ukraine (yes, Mr. Trump, I said, “rest” – since you don’t know – Crimea was once part of Ukraine).
.
There will be lynchings of gays, Hispanics and Muslims.
Or The World Turned Upside Down, played at the Yorktown surrender. “A republic, if you can keep it.” Apparently we no longer know the difference between a republic and a Republican, so the gap enlarges.
Lindberg was no pacifist, he was a colonel. He was a major figure in the isolationist “America First” (sound familiar?) movement and the pro-Nazi German-American Bund. Yeah, he flew recon in WW-II, but against Japan and not his beloved Germany. The 17th largest military was in the late 1920s under three Republican presidents. Roosevelt’s increase to 6th was denounced as part of his “make work” programs which mostly built highways and saved our parks and topsoil. Conscription was introduced in 1940, but the war was fought by volunteers.

There are news reports, the DTs were surprised they had to replace all the staff at the White House. Strong connection to the obvious there.

It is also a face card, and not the joker. Nice, Mr. Stahler.

Did Obama get your guns yet?
Do you still need to see his birth certificate?

I hear music in the background: “Upside Down” by Jack Johnson.
