The U.S. Constitution authorizes impeachment in the cases of “high crimes and misdemeanors”. A lawsuit is reflective of a tort, or wrong done to others. For example, I was not paying attention while driving and hit your mailbox. You file suit against me in small claims court, and I am found liable and made to make restitution against you in buying you another mailbox. Since I committed a wrong by causing property damage, the lawsuit holds me liable, but not a case where I could be facing fines or jail time.

President Pence would be worse, but he has better hair.

Unfortunately, we will have to endure president dump for the next four years because a president pence would be even worse. Impeaching it (I don’t call it a him) would guarantee a christian taliban and the christian version of sharia law.

There are criminal investigations pending, and a legal scholar says a president can be impeached before taking office. Another solution is the electoral congress; it was created for just such a purpose.

Ah yes the Rethuglicans are so soo happy he won. There are other groups happy he won as well and they are Russia, al Qaeda and Isis. al Qaeda and Isis see his win as the beginning of the death of America. Can you get your mind around that. Our worst enemies are thrilled he won. This is why I say America lost.

No one but whinny sore winners are saying this. You don’t impeach until the president is Democrat. Take a look at the way the right who wants to “come together” are treating other people on this comment board. You can impeach Trump when he does something wrong, until then quit pretending the Democrats play politics as dirty as Republicans.

I’m glad the way things turned out. It shows that the pendulum swings both ways, don’t worry it’ll be back in 4 or 8 years. It’s almost like some higher power keeps us from going one way so hard that we run off the track.

As a DJT supporter living in California, I am so happy that the rest of the Country did not let me down. Thank you. Liberal voters in overpopulated states like California is why I like the Electoral College. If you are going to quote a Congressional action, do so correctly.

The House of Representatives impeaches. The Senate votes to convict or not convict.

Colluding with a foreign power to influence a US election is treason. If any evidence can be found to link him to it, that’s grounds for impeachment.

Well, Trump was involved in a great deal of wrongdoing before he was even elected. Now that he has been elected, I can’t imagine that he will change no matter what anyone says.

Trump will have to go to Federal Court on one of his many issues of wrongdoing by the end of this month. He does have quite the following so it will be interesting to see how far his faithful followers will go to ignore any of his problems. It is obvious he can’t possibly do many of the things they shouted about at his rallies. I am not even interested so much in trying to change his faithful followers at this point, I would just settle for seeing him out of office and maybe even in jail, which is where he belongs. How ironic that his supporters so often shouted Lock her up— lock him up is more like it, but the Dems didn’t want to run that sort of campaign. I hope they learned something. Many of us have become exhausted by listing his many problems over and over again. It is such a long list. Fraud of many hard working people through Trump U, assault of many women, (which he himself alluded to on tape with a witness), rape of a 13 year old girl, (who has now become intimidated by death threats— go figure), racial discrimination against black people through housing issues, defaming many hardworking Latinos in our country, discrimination against Muslims by defaming them and insisting that we have a ban on them from entering the country, etc., etc. But Trump supporters said they didn’t want to talk about those things, they only wanted to talk about “the issues”!? The things I have listed have all been documented. The things that Clinton was accused of have been litigated and found unsubstantiated, though they were repeated over and over as if that would make them true. The truth is that they didn’t like HRC and therefore were trying to come up with something and that was all they could do.

It is now time to concentrate on getting rid of the Electoral College. Enough phony elections where we vote and win the popular vote (the voice of the people) and it is ignored by the antiquated electoral college.

Such maturity.

He is an illegitimate president elect. They shouldn’t have to impeach him.
