Continued divisiveness is right, looking at the invective already sprayed over Fakebook.

Look, Americans, you’ve seen me here long enough to know what I think of Killary, and, despite what you may think, I have zero affection for Trump either. That he’s winning isn’t any reason to gloat, though I am cautiously optimistic that it will cause the end of Saudi Barbaria’s war on Yemen, and jihadi terrorism in Syria; I am also relieved that nuclear war is less likely. But as far as you are concerned, let me tell you this:

You will have to live with each other, whether under Trump or Killary. What I see is the end of long friendships, bitter hatred replacing civility, and people demanding that anyone who voted for the Other One unfriend them and dissociate themselves from their lives. This is nothing a healthy society can afford. At the end of the day we are all still short lived apes crawling on the surface of a ball of mud revolving round a small star in an unexceptional galaxy, and the problems we face are faced by all of us together. Please remember that.

I will be back, of course, and I will be as unsparing of your sensibilities as I usually am. But for today, this is my message: please do not gloat or hate. Whatever you are in for, you are in for it together.

Lets hope not, we don’t have to be divisive or polarizing. We could, as a country, decide to be more civil. We won’t have hearing, prosecutors or gridlock with a Republican President, house and senate. I still find it against the spirit of coming together to not allow the president to put a justice on the supreme court. We had a real opportunity to push our whole country forward together. Good luck bringing the country together.

Regardless of your politics, this cartoon nails it. A dynamic system always pushes a stagnant “airmass” out to sea. But the weather will probably be bumpy for awhile! Good luck to all of us!

To update an old Demo/Socialist saying from the last 8 years: “It’s Obama’s fault”. I’ve been waiting to say that from here in purgatory for over 7 years. Now that the majority has shouted (not spoken) get ready for some real change. Like maybe getting back to the Constitution. Yes, yes….some idiot is probably saying “it’s the end of the world”, but I’ll bet you there’s alot more people dancing than moping. Healthcare will continue to be here, but I fervently hope Obamacare will not.

I know who got more votes, and (so far) it wasn’t Trump. Back to the routine.

“We get the government we deserve.” The middle class has spoken, perhaps not eloquently, and has told the Neoliberals of the disinterested, exclusive, self-serving political parties that inequity has it’s consequences.

Never Hillary won.

A new Attorney General will likely have a different view of the Clinton Foundation and the on going investigation.

The one thing I am hoping for is that the Republicans return to some of the ideals they had in the past. Many had started talking LONG ago about climate change (even Sarah Palin!), several of the ideas in ACA were from the Heritage Foundation, Teddy Roosevelt protected land for National Parks and Nixon started the EPA. But the current GOP couldn’t agree with anything that any Dem wanted – whatever Dems said, they’re against it.

The Dems are reaping the consequences of abandoning the people whose jobs were destroyed by globalization and who waited in vain for retraining programs or at least affordable college. And watching while Reagan destroyed the unions. And for trying to use a flood of immigrants for the votes lost.

I can read numbers. Clinton’s numbers were bigger than Trump’s. I didn’t say she won the Electoral College. You can go back and look.
