But… without false equivalences, the math doesn’t work.

We should get the lawmakers on repealing laws that haven’t worked out or which we are deliberately ignoring, like the one about border security, that we traded for to get amnesty back under Reagan.

No point in having all those laws, when they only exist to get something for nothing anyway. Maybe we can have a Presidential, “Just Kidding Veto”, where he can go back into a law after having passed it and veto parts of it retroactively.

    Legally, I mean…

I just saw the phrase False Equivalencies yesterday on Facebook, googled it without a satisfying result. Commented on FB that it sounded like “separate but equal” Jim Crow phraseology. Was told to educate myself. Not sure where, the dark web? Don’t think I’ll bother at this point. I have local measures to research. Wish it would all be over Tuesday.

A few individuals sitting in conference rooms in office buildings choose the news focus by simply marking what they think will draw the most viewer/readers and, thus, the most advertising income. They gave Trump the lead on one side because of his style – if you can call it that – and Hilary got the lead on the other side because of her past. Guaranteed fodder for a captive public.None of the others were provided serious on-air time to make their cases to the public. The public never had a chance to experience the full range of choices and they never will.

It’s funny in an ironic way but Hillary and any missteps and mistakes she’s made are really inconsequential to the Republican brainwashing machine and their lobotomized ditto-heads. If Jesus Christ were the Democratic candidate the conservative media would be calling him a liberal and a socialist and soft on crime. Can’t you just hear a Fox News talking head saying, “while the Democrats thinks he walks on water, our sources tell us he’s been consorting with prostitutes and giving out free food to freeloading immigrants and what he did to honest bankers in the Temple that time shows that he hates capitalism”. The base would sit there in front of their TV’s and eat this all up and have signs on their front lawns that read: Lock Him Up. IMO if there is a hell Roger Ailes and Rush Limbaugh and their ilk will be doing hard time there for the damage they’ve done to America and to democracy, but that doesn’t let their followers off the hook for allowing their hates and fears “trump” their good sense and demonize and dehumanize their fellow humans.

For me it comes down to this…..With Hillary the worst that we get is more of the same…With Trump the worst that we get is to terrible to consider. Hillary says “Let’s work together”. Trumps says “Trust me, I’m the only one who can do anything and I know more about everything then anyone else.” I am willing to give Hillary a chance, giving Trump that kind of power is like give a 6 year an Uzi.

I know that comic strips are done ahead of time. I wonder what Wiley’s strip will say when it catches up to the fact that a segment of the FBI has been caught making up charges against Clinton based on discredited sources?

Y’know, trump is always whining about the media being on Clinton’s side, but it’s the media who got him here in the first place.

Here’s a non-political example of a false equivalency, courtesy of Mel Brooks: “Tragedy is when I cut my finger. Comedy is when you fall into an open sewer and die.”

The People cannot possibly make a better choice than The Party. This is why all True Americans support the idea of a Ruling Class and a permanent progressive governing elite.

The People are deplorable and ignorant, easily swayed by flashing lights and noises, which is why only dedicated news and media corporations can be allowed to participate in political speech.

The People would do best as subjects of a totalitarian state that provides for their every need, as they are unable to maintain viability in a free state where bankers and lawyers are not the exclusive ruling class.

Anybody who does not love equality of the slave class and demands social mobility without a clear stratification of ruling class and working/poverty class will vote for Trump.

Nothing I can say will change a single vote, or delude or enlighten a single mind, because only the deplorable mud people can be moved by words, because of their weak minds.

And 3 years later, the election still hasn’t ended – the Dems relitigate and posture, and mewl, desperate to manufacture impeachment reasons before the truth comes out and they are all marched off to jail. Like a child throwing a tantrum on the floor, kicking and crying, because it didn’t get its way. Talk about self-absorption!
