This cartoon is a lie. Gore had conceded to Bush until he was told that the margin in Florida was so close that a recount was MANDATED by Florida state law. Gore did not ask for a recount; the State of Florida, with Jeb Bush as governor, did.

Gore had more votes than Bush, he should not have conceded.

The US is not a direct-vote democracy, so the fact that Gore had more votes than Bush does not signify.

In 48 out of 50 states, all of the state’s electoral college members are selected according to vote for the candidate getting the most votes. If you voted for candidate B, but candidate A got more votes, your vote means nothing. Zip. Nada. Null and Void.

People should go read up on the 1824 and 1876 elections.

And read very carefully about how the election of the president actually works.You might be surprised. The Wikipedia article on the Electoral College is very enlightening.

Bush didn’t DO anything. He was the recipient of a whole lot of dirty tricks by the Florida Rethuglicans, who managed to disallow millions of Democratic voters on phony grounds.

Actually that’s not an option for The Rump. If he thinks he’s going to mount a coup d’etat then he really is dumber than a rock about the Military.

The US Supreme Court intervened after the Florida Supreme Court ordered a selective recount in Gore counties; with the goal being weaning enough votes to give Gore a statewide victory. It was clear enough that the Florida court was trying change the outcome of the vote.

So what if Trump does not concede. It makes no difference in the results. Shame on the mass media for trying to scare the ignorant.

Gore – gracious. trump – churlish. trump may not concede because his ego is so puny that he’ll do everything he can to get revenge. Anyone with a healthy ego would be gracious, also.

To bad the Democrat precinct worker got caught putting the voting machine in the trunk of his car.Gore could have found the votes he said he knew that there were there.“I know we have enough votes to win,we just have to find them”.That and throw out members of the military’s votes that voted overseas.

So the cartoon is saying that Trump should do what Gore did, and disagree with the results but accept them in order not to wreck the American system? I watched him do that. I even watched him, as President of the Senate, shut down the Black Caucus’s attempts to reject the results. He was polite, but firm and persistent. It was a little bit heartbreaking.

This Cartoon does not represent reality – it was the Supreme court not Bush who stole the election in 2000. That said – it is shocking that Trump might not accept the results of the election. Because he has stated the only results he will accept are if he wins. So does he tell the truth about not being a patriot and assaulting women? Or is he as big of a liar as they say? It is hard to tell whether you admire him for telling it like it is, or that he makes such jokes all the time. Because from here it looks like he is an unpatriotic spoiled whiner.
