As long as he sticks to linguistics he’s okay. Just keep him away from political discussions or economics.

I always imagined that our baby must have thought we were stupid because we kept asking him the same questions over and over. Which one is the cow? What does the cow say? Which one is the square? Which circle is blue? etc.He’s probably thinking, "Dude, my parents sure do forget things quickly:

Just Google “Kanzi” and you’ll see a lot of information.
And whatever his political opinions…and usually he and I are on the same side…..
Noam Chomsky is NOT known as a likeable fellow….
He’s argumentative…. not the cuddly sort….
and among other things, he asserts that all language training in simians is bogus and entirely unlike human speech.
There are linguists and language teachers on both sides of that debate….
but he is strident.
