Life is surreal enough with anchovies on a pizza.

I’ve done this, since reading this cartoon. I get less calls now, but no pizzas. Thank you Calvin. Long live Luis Bunel, who died recently, master of surreal film.

Now do the next call at a funeral parlor. Let’s see how surreal that gets.

Best pizza order I’ve heard was from FUTURAMA. An alien who didn’t really have the hang of everyday English got on the phone and said: “I hereby order a large cheese pizza….”

FYI, on a completely different Firesign album, you hear the other half of that same phone conversation.

A neighbor of mine had the bad luck to have a phone number that was one digit from the number of a local pizza establishment. He got so tired of telling people they had the wrong number, he started pretending to take the orders.

The best pizza I’ve ever had is a place called Di Fara’s on Avenue J in Brooklyn. The owner, Dominic DeMarco, has been working out of the same place since 1965.

Ever have one of those calls where the caller won’t shut up……and you keep hanging on, and on, and on, waiting to get a word in!
