    Turns out that Khan has ties to the US military, the peaceful Muslim religion and other gold star families. Huh, Republicans teaming up to denigrate the family of a hero who died in service to our country. Do you think the Republicans care about our men in uniform? Or just use them to stage their preemptive wars?

    Criticism from the party of blessed necrophilia, including a doctored quote from a tragic event which his party chose to turn into a bleeding circus. If we were really standing on a pile of bodies, it would still be more seemly than your lot digging up corpses and trying to hit people with them and all the while pretending to respect… well, anything.

    The Trump part prefers hatred over loyalty to America.

    Trump Adviser Claims Father of War Hero Is a “Muslim Brotherhood Agent”

    Stone’s tweet outlines a conspiracy theory that claims Khan is working to bring radical Muslims to the United States. The article Stone linked to also alleges that Khan’s son, Capt. Humayun Khan, was a Muslim martyr who was killed “before his Islamist mission was accomplished.”

    My mom was not a gold star mother. My wife and I are not gold star parents. However: I came back a disabled veteran. Years later, my son returned home a disabled veteran. That is also sacrifice. Trump has NEVER KNOWN SACRIFICE. (Well, unless you count all the people he’s cheated.)

    If Trump hadn’t gotten his deferments, might have met up with him in ’Nam, but then, what does a contemptible chickenhawk know about honor, respect, truth, or sacrifice?

    As a 33 year veteran of three wars, the thought of Donald Trump putting the wreath on the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier turns my stomach. :- (

    Remarkable how quickly too many on the “right” find all these side trails yet ignore the blatant reality that the Kahn"s lost a son serving us.

    @dtroutma and @scoutmaster77

    God bless you both for your bravery, service, and, dare I say, sacrifice.

    I know it galls me every time Donny Joe McCarthy opens his hated-filled yap, but spitting on the grave of an AMERICAN war hero, one who earned the medals he was awarded, and then kicking sand in the face of his bereaved parents (“Mr Kahn viciously attacked me and I have a right to defend myself”) is the sign of a true traitor and coward. You two are what makes America proud. He makes us sick.

    So God love you and all our service men and women and God keep you every second.

    It’s sad that so many people who profess to be good, patriotic Americans and wrap themselves in the flag are willing and eager to behave in ways that are so opposite to the principals upon which this country was founded. They question the constitutional rights of a Gold Star mother to speak out publicly against bigotry and self serving aggrandizement. They jump at any excuse from any source to justify their behavior. They are so invested in the imaginary image of a super patriot, who never served, never contributed and only took, that it twists their thinking processes and turns them into an angry mob of character assasins and worse.

    Let me ask you this: do you truly think Trump would not be a disaster as a president? What do you base this on? (And just saying he’s not Hillary doesn’t count.)
