The dumbos have held the majority in Congress four years, the oval office nearly two, but BozOTUS insists the problem we are in, the past three years, is the fault of the minority.
He thinks we’re stupid. It proves who’s really stupid.
ANandy, Your comment reflects an overly optimistic view of the powers of a President to get immediate results.
The wheels in Washington grind relatively slowly. The fiscal year runs from October 1-September 30. So, when a President takes office in January, he’s already more than 3 months into a budget set by his predecessor.
The roots of every crisis run deep. There’s rarely a simple single action/law/policy that has immediately verifiable impact on our economy….(although I’d put Gramm-Leach-Bliley in the running…and that was a Republican Congress under Clinton/Democratic President).
I find your constant “BozOTUS,” “Dumbos,” etc. name-calling almost painful. It reduces complex issues that NEED thoughtful exchanges of ideas to preschool conversation level.
(Actually, having spent many years dealing with preschool age children, I have to say that name-calling was not something that was allowed at that level either–it’s simply not useful nor does it contribute to a productive community.)
So let’s all hold our breaths waiting for Nandy to respond, and tell us how he forgot all about the record number of filibuster threats of the current “Party of No”.
Or why he knows his “opinions’ are so weak that he constantly feels the need to buttress them with lame ad hominem attacks like the childish “BozOTUS”. (Yes, Nandy, you reveal both your age and level of intellect with “Bozo”.)
Or maybe poor Nandy, who is never able to support his pathetic posts, will be rescued by Bruce4671, who will tell us how Nandy forgot all about the record number of filibuster threats of the current “Party of No”.
Tigger, Obama’s ‘present’ vote would suggest he had problems with the Budget.
Sounds like you are stuck in the idea that all our problems began in 2007 when the Democrats took control of the House and Senate, and that President Bush had little to do with policy or leading the country after this take over?.
The Democrats took control of Congress in 2007 after nearly 12 years of unbroken Republican rule. Bush II had a Republican Congress for the first six years of his tenure, and all the spending bills were constructed and passed by this Republican majority. Bush II had already run up the national debt from $5.7 Trillion (1/01) to $8.7 Trillion (1/07) - increasing the debt by half again as much. You’ll have a hard time proving that the Republicans demonstrated any level of fiscal conservatism during the years in which they controlled the Congress and the presidency.

Whoever believes that everything was fine and dandy before Autumn 2006, or that the crisis came as a result of Obama’s policies.
