Whats odd to me is … they say it was last way out, and I´m sure the shooter wanted to die. But if they could get a bomb to him, then why couldn´t it have something to just stun him? But I guess it is less paperwork for them if they just kill him, and add to the milage of paranoia there is for the police allready.
War.. is a lot cleaner when it is run by remote controlled drones. It is only a matter of time till the police use remote grenade launchers (tracked or drones) to fix trouble spots. What could possibly go wrong.
He was, after all, in a garage, probably with multiple exits. I guess they could have risked more policemen’s lives in an assault, but am not surprised they didn’t. At first I thought maybe it was a flash-bang bomb, but apparently not.
KaffekupI have seen very few parking garages with water fountains and none with grocery stores. They could have kept talking and starved him out, but that would have made Commerce a bit more inconvenienced, (to say nothing of Main and Elm, the other two downtown main streets in Dallas which converge at Dealy Plaza). Non-lethal gas would have been more appropriate, and probably be used on a white sniper.
I’m surprised that anyone was really shocked by this. They’d already lost several members of the force to this guy; they weren’t going to run the risk of more getting killed trying to shoot him. The only way he was going to live would be if he had completely disarmed himself and lain prostrate on the ground. I don’t really blame the DPD for taking this extreme method to deal with him.

I know. That robot freaked me out and I can’t really say “why”, but it’s just so unsettling.

Calm down everyone, one bomb delivering robot does represent all robots.

When you escalate the confrontation, those in power charged with enforcing the law will find and use a suitable pesticide on you!

It would be nice if we had a bomb carrying robot for every terrorist.

If only that was true.
