Mitch and the boys started cutting, and gutting, withe “one term presidency”, and doing everything they could to sell their divisive lies, and contempt for the Consitution, and the American people, and the nation itself.
It is the racism, bigotry and general idiocy of the GOP that is dividing us. If only they had harnessed all their hatred into something positive we would all be a lot better off. And we wouldn’t have Trump as the only alternative to the woefully unqualified Clinton
We wouldn’t be so divided if it weren’t for President Obama. Were he the right color, Republicans would have welcomed Health Care, voted for his Judges and worked with him to get a budget. If he weren’t such a different color, he wouldn’t have divided the country so much.
That’s what I don’t like about Lincoln. He’s a divider. A true leader would have found a compromise with the slave holders and kept the country together. Stephen Douglas!! That’s my man!!
Hmm… that’s a rather childish response that does nothing to refute his claim. Out of curiosity, who do you think was the greatest President in your lifetime?
I don’t blame Kennedy for the Bay of Pigs, since that was more or less handed to him, but the Missile Crisis was his, and it almost got us all killed. And he was wishy-washy on civil rights. He wasn’t in office even one term, so it’s probably not fair to judge him against the others, but I can’t say I would rank him at the top.I’m not sure that any of the presidents of my lifetime (Truman to now) ranks as great, unless great disaster counts. For that, it’s a three-way tie: Nixon and Reagan and G. W. Bush.

I see. Discrimination doesn’t divide the country, but pointing out the discrimination does. Keep on thinking that.

No president since FDR inherited a big a mess from his predecessor than Obama did. An economy in complete collapse and country involved in two wars.
