Meh. My money sez that jolly old GB never actually “Brexits” the EU. The referendum was just that, it was advisory, and doesn’t legally compel the British government to do anything (notice how no one’s going to invoke Article 50 until some future date uncertain…). It’s rapidly sinking in just what the consequences of a Brexit really would be and already are, and everyone’s just as rapidly backing away. I strong suspect they’ll just keep backing right out the door. Mañana, y’all. But it sure makes the Brits look like idiots. ’Tis a pity.

It’s a slow disaster to stay and line up with the New World Order, too. The tyranny is coming (and is here), don’t be fooled. Someone has to stand up at some point; Great Britain felt like now is the time. The sentiment will follow in other countries.

If Great Britain procrastinates long enough on article 50 implementation, it can perhaps find a way out that doesn’t seem foolish.

Hey it was the will of all those really smart Brits who voted. Just like all those really smart Trump supporters in the US.

They’re up against it now, no matter what. If Brexiters think they can forestall the future by building a wall around their island, they should check out first how well that worked for the Asian countries that thought they could do it.The world is changing. Bad news for entitled WASPs.

Trump wants to bring his European style disasters to our country. Would you want President Trump to be a slow disaster, a quick disaster or would you want a do-over? Don’t forget to get out and vote, no matter how much the old white pouty men try and stop you.

To all you lefties who love to post in here, I have a question or more like a request. Can any of you take the time and make it intelligent enough for all of us to understand; explain Venezuela, what is happening in there? While you are at it, explain why are all the Leftist governments being kick out of power through out all South and Central America? Remember make it intelligently, so you shoot your foot. Also clarify why is the rhetoric of taking from the rich and pretend to give to the poor is still being used when no one believes it. I don’t ask any more because other than that the left has nothing else to offer.

I wonder how many people who voted for Trump in the early primaries (or the middle primaries, or the later primaries) now wish they could have a do-over?

@Crow Nob.. etc., etc.@HippogriffYou haven’t explained anything, that tells me you prefer to ignore the greatest socialist mistake in recent history. The CIA is controlled by the Obama administration, I doubt they would have anything to do with that failure, since Obama is a socialist simpatizer, the Venezuela’s university students have proved that is not what you say that is ruining the country. Venezuela is in chaos because of the greed, the maliciousness, and ineptitude of the socialists. They want to repeat the same mistake the Soviet (Stalin) and the Chinese (Mao) made, killing millions of people. Argentina’s last president was voted out for corrupt, inept, and idiotic. Her millions made during her administration have been frozen, and we are talking a lot of millions. Chile’s president has an approval rate of less than 20%, and member of her family, and cabinet are under investigation for corruption. Brazil’s last 2 presidents are under investigation for corruption, and prohibited from leaving the country, the CIA had nothing to do with that. Bolivia’s president has an even lower than Chile’s president approval rating, the moment his term is done, he is gonna have to run, run fast and long, the corruption charges will follow him. Ecuador, same thing, Nicaragua same thing. And you would think that while the socialist were in power they would kick out of the country the CIA. You have taken a book written by socialists and swallow hook and sink. Doesn’t it make you wonder that the main stream media doesn’t report on these things, when millions of people’s lives are affected. You are all servile to the global deception. And starting with Britain the game is up.

Maybe you should read Disaster Capitalism, and other histories of what our capitalist oligarchy did to South America in the name of protecting corporate profits. Same thing we did to Hawaii, and the Middle East, and to Native Americans, and to unions in this country before FDR.When all you know is greed it’s easy to want for yourself, and the Central and South American politicians learned well from Dole, etc. how to gather and protect wealth for themselves: Blame someone else and say you are doing it for the people!

1941gkoBritain has had several symbols during the years. There is, as you mentioned, the character in late Victorian plus fours, John Bull. There is also, the English bulldog itself. There is the woman in Greco-Roman garb with a trident and a shield with the union jack, Britannia. The one shown here was popularized in Lowe’s 1930-40s editorial cartoons, Col. Blimp, retired, but still advocating the tactics of the previous war..magicwalnutSomething missing from the Gabbler-censored textbooks, but may be changed in a current “based on real events” movie – during the last secession, there were quite a few formal secessions from the Confederacy, Jones of the movie being just one, the Free State of Van Zandt (county seat Canton) in east Texas being another. In addition, quite a few areas weren’t so formal about it and either held off Confederate troops with SchutzVerein marksmen or were wiped out, every man, woman, and child, trying to stay free in the Hill Country German settlements..canFunnyYou can’t tell an org chart from reality. Both the CIA and FBI have been rogue operations since their inceptions. The latter still ruled by the dead hand of John Edgar Hoover, and the forrmer by the military/industrial complex Eisenhower warned us against. Sure, both perform a legal function most of the time, and probably most of the rank and file are loyal citizens, but the ones who run things are still devoted to the racist and imperialist past and are determined to keep it through the present and into the future, aided by those in Congress that Eisenhower included in his original draft of his farewell address.

None of Trump’s voters would want a do-over. Unless there was a better choice than the original 16 or so midgets that crowded onto the stage next to Trump.

It is time to brace for Brexit, focus on the few geopolitical certainties we know will follow the UK’s exit from the EU, on whatever terms it comes. Brexit will further fragment a global political system that’s already fracturing. today’s conflicts among the world’s greatest power are fought over trace and investment of Brexit will mark a milestone toward a much more contentious international order.
