Saint Pillsbury started out his life as any other normal man. He was a Happening-kind-of-guy. A “man about town”, big man in his community, a regular “Metropolitan-type” person. He hailed from the Mid-West. Born and raised just outside Bringhurst Indiana, his childhood and adolescence were much the same as those of today’s youth. He could often times be seen during the summer school break looking over the famed Bringhurst Cathedral with its weathered spires and buttresses, lost in thought with a certain slack-jawed expression on his face.

He was called by the Heavenly powers that be into sainthood after performing his first miracle, that of offering aid to a broken-hearted country girl, stuck in a rain storm. Seeing her plight, he immediately offered her shelter in his laundry shed, located just the other side of the family farm barn. In the morning, he served Cheese Danishes.

In light of this somewhat heartless act of pseudo-humanity, he was named Patron Saint of Pastries & Lost Loves, and given watch over the Cathedral of Bringhurst, the Diocese of the same name.

His patronage still exists even today, if you know where to look.
