Hey, love the term “undocumented Immigrants”. It almost makes them sound legit. Too bad all the people waiting patiently for their immigration paper work can’t just walk across a porous border. Enforce the federal laws.

Since the Republicans are never going to advocate prosecuting businesses or individuals that hire illegal Immigrants the problem will never get solved. Why not just turn the system around. Illegal Immigrants pay thousands to coyotes to get them into this country. Have the immigrants pay the money they would pay to the coyote and pay it to the U.S. Consolate in their country. Issue a work visa contingent on finding a job within, say 2 months. Then enroll the now legal immigrant in a 2-5 year program to learn english, U.S. government and apply for citizenship and require the immigrant to pay for and take the classes. Offer the classes at community colleges or other locations. Allow any illegal immigrant in this country to go back to their country of residence and apply for immigration this way. Since this will not ever please the Republicans who really don’t want to ever solve the immigration problem it would have to be forced down their throats. The Republicans will of course say no and will have no counter-proposal but that’s just the Republican style of governance.
