I can still remember the morning I got out of bed, stumbled into the bathroom, and before shaving or putting my contacts in looked in the mirror and thought “what the heck is Dad doing in my house?”
I remember when my 13-year old cousin was afraid to sleep upstairs in our grandparents’ house because he thought it was haunted. Everyone kept telling him there are no such things as ghosts, but he didn’t believe them. I told him some ghost “lore” such as they only haunt where they died and no one had died in that house (our grandfather built it). It seemed to ease his mind, and he was never afraid again.
