Trump has dismissed the press when he wasn’t using them to his advantage. Now he is at the top of the ticket and the press will challenge him, as they have challenged candidates for years. To suggest that Clinton has received a pass is to ignore the last decade.

The Donald LOVES this. He courts it. He wouldn’t have it any other way. Trump IS the media.

“Across the eight outlets studied – the New York Times, Los Angeles Times, Washington Post, Wall Street Journal, USA Today, CBS, NBC and Fox News –  neutral or positive stories about Trump made up about two-thirds to three-quarters of the total, according to the study, which employed Media Tenor, a company that collects and codes news stories, to analyze the content of the coverage. The Democratic race had a notably different pattern. Not only was coverage significantly less, but, more notably, stories about Clinton overwhelmingly took a negative tone. In contrast with every other major candidate, the majority of stories about Clinton were negative in all but one month in 2015. The exception was October – the month in which Vice President Joe Biden announced he would not run for the nomination and Clinton both dominated her first debate with Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont and held her own in 11 hours of grilling from a congressional committee investigating the terrorist attack in Benghazi, Libya.”http://www.latimes.com/politics/la-na-pol-campaign-coverage-20160613-snap-story.html

What country — what PLANET — do you live on, where the media hasn’t given Hillary so much as the once-over? I realize you don’t base your cartoons on facts, but, come on, man, you need to at least pretend to care about them.

Varvel, Trump has been getting free publicity the entire primary. He calls into TV shows, they cover every move he makes, etc.HRC has been investigated for emails a few times using a few different angles and Benghazi eight times -all covered in the news.Trump insults HRC and he gets on the news for that.

Not being a big fan of anything Clinton, actually I detest the woman, Gary seems to forget that the Clintons have been the most scrutinized family in the past 30 years. Not that they didn’t deserve it, but they’ve hardly been given the pass that he is depicting here. But then he is a member of the GOP and accuracy doesn’t matter much, if at all.

Come on, Hillary is taking her share of bad press. The only difference is, Trump’s got a big mouth and makes himeself a target more. often.
