Since when is a social studies textbook supposed to be subtle? Or suble, whatever that is?

If you can throw, catch or bounce a ball, you are revered. If you can read and write well, no one cares. With priorities like that the poorly educated win!

There was a somewhat famous case a couple years ago in which an Adam and Eve cartoon was banned because Eve had two dots, no contours, just two dots for breasts. Censors: the death of creativity.

One year we had a science book that referred to turtles as amphibinans. The kids were up in arms.

If Francis is so smart, why did he bring his precious “textbook” to the beach where anything could happen to it. A place for swimming, building sandcastles, having ice cream, and he brings a textbook for the sole purpose of showing it off? And on paper??
