A friend of mine got tired of waiting for a doctor to arrive in at his office one morning (his appt. was @ 9 A.M.) and after about an hour he informed the receptionist that he had other things to do besides wait and that he was leaving and if the Dr. needed him that he knew how to contact him, and he left.
My Mother’s doctor was always on time…except once….he had an emergency at the hospital….usually, by the time for your appointment, you had been seen and were on your way out….and he was thorough too!!
I generally take a magazine; it is easier to stop when they do show up. Scientific American is good because you are more likely to get direct answers and regular reading gives you the vocabulary to understand those answers and give an intelligent reply.

Which is why I bring my phone or iPad….I can play solitaire or do some reading. However my doctors really ARE prompt.
