African American Woman: Institutional racism limits my opportunities... My right to vote is constantly under threat... and I'm only paid 78 percent of what a man earns... but, hey... Harriet Tubman is going to be on the $20 bill... yippee... that fixes everything...

Great Britain changes the faces on their paper money about every twelve years…what’s the hoohoo?

What’s the “root of all evil” to which you refer? Hint: it’s not money.

Sojourner Truth should have been on that bill instead of Harriet Tubman—she did more for the underground railroad and did it longer than Tubman.

Of course it won’t, nor will a National Sorry Day for the centuries long degradation and dehumanization of people of color (like they have in Australia for their genocidal treatment of their native race), but it’s a mindset and a much different one than when a Southern Senator could get up and make a speech about how them “nigras” would never have equal rights and when water fountains, bathrooms, lunch counters were white only. It’s another step in the right direction towards a moral society. Harriet Tubman is a true hero and example of amazing courage.

Explain why this woman isn’t voting for Bernie…

There is a pattern of in governmental organizations, schools, banks and courts of law which give negative treatment to people based on their race. Voting rights are under threat from states who mandate State IDs then close offices that issue licenses. No matter what the race/ethnicity, age, occupation or education – all women are impacted by the gender wage gap and earn about $.79 to every $1 earned by men. Harriet Tubman will be on the $20 bill, with president Jackson on the back. This will make absolutely no difference in anyone’s life who has to deal with racism, sexism or an uneven playing field. Maybe we could do something practical with our money – like make something blind people can use. Eliminate the $100 bill – or better yet, all paper money.

In other words, we must reserve the pittances, and throw them to the simple non-blacks to keep them voting Republican?

Could you be any more offensive? I kind of doubt it.
