Most of wisdom *is* common sense, ejcapulet. (And common sense is astonishingly uncommon.)

Trapper John, wisdom is not the same as being smart. Being smart = knowing things, the more the smarter. Wisdom comes from knowing what makes life worthwhile, how to use one’s knowledge for the best longterm outcomes, and the true value of others. Well, that’s part of wisdom. Common sense definitely fits in as part of it.

I don’t know who said this quote, but “Knowledge is knowing that tomatoes are fruit. Wisdom is NOT putting them in the fruit salad.”
