Ah, 1985…the year I got married, and avoided politics like the plague (I STILL do; I vote…but that’s pretty much it.)

I wish Breathed would update the “current” strip. He could have a lot of fun reviving a few of these strips, updated for the times. He did that going from “Academia Waltz” to the earlier Bloom County strips a bit with Cutter John and Steve Dallas. The last “Bloom County 2019” was printed on this website on June 8 last year…..

Is it just me or is she a…LITTLE different from Steve’s sister in Academia Waltz?

This one is new to me. I don’t remember Steve having a sister. Did she appear in other strips?

Those of us who remember the sixties and the civil rights movement then, are usually struck by how poorly those today understand the times, and how it compares to today.
