Ironically the Falklands War caused the creation of massive penguin preserves. The Argentine invaders planted large mine fields on the coast of East Falkland, where they thought the British would land. There were too many to dig up but they were found to be set for human weight. Penguins were too light to set them off so could roam over the area in complete safety. so the beaches are marked off and the penguins live there in perfect safety from being molested on the ground.
Alas, these Rousseau “noble savage” isolated penguins are panicked by Mrs. Limekiller and her inglorious threat of mass-market pizza parlors invading their serene domain….
