I watch this ad by bags under the eyes reducing cream. You can hardly tell the difference between before and after and the ladies are definitely NOT models.
I often wished for a course, “The Psychology of Advertising”, while I was at university. Why do advertisers assume we will buy their product based on how it is presented? I have come to realize that most ads point out that you are not perfect, but this product® will help you along; be it make-up, clothing, beer, pharmaceuticals, a new truck…whatever.
It is, ‘tis true, hard to distinguish Opus Penguin and bologna. And the lady may look pretty much the same; but at least the “mediocre actresses” aren’t homeless….
