Dear North Carolina Tourist Board,   I’m thinking of driving through North Carolina. Should I bring my birth certificate?

I dunno…that one security guard looks suspiciously androgynous…

They are going to institute the BSA, Bathroom Security Agency where they will have Banana Scanners. The BS will check for “bananas”, if you have one it won’t let you into ladies room, if you don’t, it won’t let you into the mens’. Also each receptacle will have DNA testers. If you fail, you will be sprayed with red dye and arrested.

Did ANY of these “legislators” consider how to enforce this law?

The law is completely unenforceable. Furthermore it will have the opposite result from what they think they want. If a woman changes their sex to male but their birth certificate says female, they they will have to use the women’s restroom. And Vice versa.

The REAL PROBLEM (beyond the LGBT issue, is that it removed ALL rights of ALL NC citizens in terms of discrimination at the state level. There is already a case of age discrimination that the person involved is having to go to federal court rather than state court which will limit their award.

This law goes waaayyy beyond LGBT issues but the media has not picked up on that.

Simple solution: require that all toilets and urinals in public bathrooms be in stalls. Then remove all the male/female icons or words from the doors.

From what I hear (haven’t been able to verify yet), Section Two is a Koch Brothers inspired poison pill limiting taxation. If it works, look for it everywhere.

Its the right wing Taliban’s plan for the rest of America.

Obviously, tolerance without limits is insanity.

I agree that this is just a distraction (and an appeal to the evangelical/Calvinist base) and allows business as usual behind the scenes for the self-serving career politicians.

Having spent a couple decades having to provide, and clean, restrooms around the country, women’s restrooms were always dirtier than men’s, and the graffiti was often worse! Unisex restrooms cleaned things up, physically and the “literature” left behind.

Hmm, is birth certificate enough, or will they require medical folks to check your DNA before you can “dump” or even just pee???
