I did. Get corporate money out of politics.

I did too. It is time to have publicly financed campaigns, so hopefully we can talk frankly about solving the issues we face. Not leagilized bribery, and anything but the issues.

Plus, that $3 comes out of what each taxpayer must pay anyway. Checking yes does not change the amount of tax to be paid.

I said no and they got all the money they wanted anyway thanks to the right wing Supreme Court decision that money is free speech, which it is not.

Back in 2000. the reform party’s Pat Buchanan got $12 million from that fund.

Tom: you do realize that just David Koch (who gives far less than Charles) gives many times what all the unions together can contribute as they represent less than 8% of employees in the US today, right? As for Soros, either Koch brother also has many times the wealth of Soros, and donates many many, more times as much to political campaigns. Soros gives far more to actual charitable functions. Then there’s the foreign income casino magnate Addleson.

Yep, getting the people back in government of the people, by the people, and FOR the people, not just the 1%, who are corporates, even privately owned like the Kochs, is a better way to go.

We don’t need a limit on how much politicians can receive we need limits on how much they can spend. It would cut down on the number of TV ads.
