So, ride it to a backyard football game.

Apparently the baseball fetish has not yet coalesced.

I’m not sure when this strip first came out, but assuming it was 1960, $25 would be the equivalent of just over $200 today. Must be some tricycle. No wonder CB has guilt feelings.

I remember being given a metal trike about that age. My goodness it was heavy! I was so proud of it because it was new, not a hand-me-down which as the youngest of 7 was my usual lot. I remember riding it down the sidewalks, swerving the tall front wheel back and forth.

Re: obligation to use something. Our first apartment had very tall kitchen cabinets, so my husband bought me a folding metal stepstool. One time we had a friend over and I was making dinner for us all. I needed something off of a top shelf so I called our friend, who was 6’3" tall, over to get it for me. My husband said, jokingly, “I paid good money for that damn stool; you’d better damn well use it!” That was 30 years ago: I still have the stool and we still refer to it as “that damn stool.”

So…I’m guessing peddling to the goal line is pretty much out of the question?

Trust me Chuck…stick to the tricycle.

I think he loses his obligations later. LOL!
