Ok, I’ll remain sceptical. Don’t think they will date in any way, but will be interesting how Jenny will act and if the Trudy bit is actually done or not.

This can be analyzed in many ways:1. Nate has his eye on Dee Dee now. I don’t think that will happen but hey, you never know.2. By only saying hi to Dee Dee, Nate didn’t say hi to Jenny, showing he has moved on.3. This is all part of some complex plan to make Jenny jealous of Dee Dee and cause her to fall madly in love with Nate. This one is the least likely, mainly because Nate isn’t smart enough to think up such a layered plan.

Jenny SAYS the Nate is not a total pain, even though he’s been bugging her ever since… the 90s (and in the next strip after the link, she hugs him! One in a million!). So, this COULD mean the Jenny has grown quite fond of Nate, and actually might like him (a little, little, little bit. Maybe .001%). She could possibly be jealous, and she might miss the fact that Nate won’t be bugging her much anymore. Her expression in shows uncertainty and a bit peed off.

However, we can’t absolutely confirm that Nate likes Dee Dee just yet. It could have been a pure coincidence the Jenny finished her sentence right when Nate walked by, nor can we confirm that Dee Dee likes Nate. Many boys (including me) say hi to girls, who they just consider friends.

Ok, here is what I think. First of all, Deedee is just Nate’s FRIEND! THAT IS ALL. No love between them. Also, how come Jenny is irritated that Nate did not say “Hiiiii Jennny.”, or at least Hi. It may be just that Nate has been a part of her life so long that she is just a bit freaked out that he is not anymore.

Jenny should be happy that Nate isn’t going after her.

This is probably even more false due to the fact that this has happened before after Angie broke up with Nate at the Spring Dance(I think that’s what it was),and Jenny was furious,but was not jealous of him.
