The longer the Senators play this nasty game against the President, the more likely it will backfire on them.Every Senator needs to be held accountable for their actions on this treasonous act against both the US Constitution and the people, doesn’t matter if they were in favor of it or against it and did not act to prevent it or undo it.If anything, it may look to be somebody looking to make the ultimate deal here to get what they want or nobody else’s wants or needs, even the country’s and The People’s, are going to be fulfilled.Every Senator, including Barbara Boxer and Dianne Feinstein, need to have their acts in this matter scrutinized and if their actions or lack of them rises to the level of either Treason or Sedition, they need to be prosecuted. We The People elected and sometimes re-elected all 100 of these senators into those offices and they are ultimately accountable to us and if they can not do their jobs according to what the US Constitution says must be done, here, then they should all be impeached and replaced with people who can and it doesn’t matter what their political leanings or party affiliations, they are all responsible for this wanton act of Treason and Sedition.

When your best response to a criticism of what your party is doing is to say “We aren’t any worse than they are”—- Must make you so proud to be a Republican.

And in violation of the constitution. The constitution doesn’t say “if the Senate feels like it.” So whoever is responsible for initiating the process in the Senate should be impeached for violation of the constitution.

I am not a fan of Obama, but he is doing his job in this case. He is carrying out his responsibility as directed by the U.S. Constitution.

The constitution is a very small document. It can fit literally in a shirt pocket. It’s smaller in size than a smartphone. It is an easy read in that it was not drafted by layers and is devoid of legalese. I think out elected officials should read it sometime. From what I am seeing and hearing they are totally ignorant of its contents.

I don’t think the republicans are being unreasonable in asking to wait..Nothing unreasonable at all. The Republicans have been waiting for the Obama regime to end before doing anything since he was sworn in., No sense changing no, a last minute swing to common sense will not undo the damage done over the last 7+ years.

The next justice could fundamentally alter the direction of the Supreme Court and have a profound impact on our country, so of course the white people should have a say in the court’s direction. The Senate will continue to make up rules as it goes along so the white people have a voice in this momentous decision. The white people may well elect a president who decides to nominate Judge Garland for Senate consideration. The next president may also be white. Either way, our view is this: Give the right people a voice in filling this vacancy.

This has never been about who the nominee is. It is about a basic principle. Under our Constitution, a white president has every right to make this nomination, and the Senate has every right not to confirm a nominee. We have had a long history and not once has a black president selected a Supreme Court nominee in the last year of his presidency.

some Republicans have flirted with treason with their communications with Iran, but refusing to deal with a SOTUS nominee is just politics. That it will undoubtedly help to remove them from a majority in the Senate is a political problem, not treason.

Other than they would be in violation of the constitution.

There is no such thing as “THE BIDEN RULE.”In the past 100 years, 19 Supreme Court Justices were nominated AND confirmed in an election year:KaganAlitoBreyerSouterScaliaRehnquistBlackmunGoldbergWhiteWarrenVinsenMurphyReedRobertsCardozoHughesSutherlandClarkeBrandeis. So let’s just stop this nonsense about how Obama can’t carry out his Constitutional responsibilities, and how the Senate isn’t obligated to carry out theirs. Yes, at one time Biden did encourage no SCOTUS nomination until after an election, but the Senate still had their hearings and AFFIRMED the Republican selection.FOX NEWS LIES.

If the Garland nomination was replacing a liberal judge, he would be more than acceptable. But it is not. I think the Senate should go ahead and hold hearings, then promptly vote it down.
