Much like Donald Trump to the Right, there’s very little that is appealing to the majority of the electorate about Bernie Sanders. He just happens to be the only real opposition to The System’s (Hillary’s) nomination. He is occupying the same type of resistance that we saw from Nader in 2000. Trump is analogous to Perot.
It’s refreshing to see a candidate like Sanders who actually insists on talking about domestic policies rather than paying lip service to lobbyists and pressure groups who pay big money for hardline positions. He has been reserved in speaking about foreign policy. I think both candidates Clinton or Sanders would be great for the U.S. It doesn’t matter which one wins the presidential election. The U.S. caused a disaster in Iraq that even Republicans are shy to defend. Clinton would succeed in creating good foreign relationships. This toon is drawn to delegate scale – the one that matters.

I fear this conservative nonsense would drive away too many that don’t happen to “feel the Bern.”We Democrats too easily fall in love with the unattainable. President Obama has had it with Republican refusals to increase domestic spending and lift the sequestration caps instituted during the fabricated “fiscal cliff” crisis, while attempting to sneak in another $38 billion for the military.
President Obama is calling the legislative terrorists in the House and Senate on their bluff.
Spur Job and Wealth Creation through a 5-Point Tax Plan“People are smart,” writes Trump. “They know you can’t be ‘for’ jobs and against those who create them.”
That, says Trump, is why America’s president should advocate for and win a five-point tax plan to spark economic growth and allow Americans to keep more of what they earn.
First, Trump says the U.S. must repeal the death tax. He cites a CBO study that found the death tax is a proven jobs killer that “will strip $1.6 trillion of small business capital out of the hands of job creators” and will result in a loss of 1.5 million new jobs.
Second, Trump says smart tax policy includes lowering the tax rate on capital gains and dividends. “Capitalism requires capital,” writes Trump. “When government robs capital from investors, it takes away the money that creates jobs.”
Third, Trump would reduce the corporate tax rate to zero. “How can we expect companies to hire American workers and locate their businesses in America when our government taxes them at exorbitant rates for doing so?” writes Trump. “I want to encourage American companies to stay here and hire American workers, and I want foreign companies to relocate their businesses to the United States and create jobs here.”
Fourth, Trump says he would impose a 20 percent tax on those who outsource jobs overseas. Trump says “for those companies who made the mistake of sending their businesses overseas but have seen the light and are ready to come home and bring jobs with them, they pay zero tax.”
Finally, Trump says its time to implement a fairer and simpler income tax:
Up to $30,000, you pay 1 percentFrom $30,000 to $100,000, you pay 5 percentFrom $100,000 to $1 million, you pay 10 percentOn $1 million or above, your rate is 15 percent
The survey of 18- to 29-year-olds by the Harvard Institute of Politics found that among young people who expect to vote in Democratic primaries and caucuses, 35% said their first choice was the party’s frontrunner, Hillary Clinton, while 41% favored her insurgent challenger, Mr. Sanders.
The survey found that 56% of 18- to 29-year-olds prefer a Democrat win the presidential race in 2016, while 36% preferred a Republican.

We are talking here of tax expenditures, that lovely oxymoron in which welfare for the rich is disguised as a tax cut.
Republican message is “Get in line, and we’ll take care of you with free stuff.” But only if the free stuff goes to corporations and the wealthy.
