Keeping people caged for 15 years without ever charging them with anything, waterboarding them multiple times (something the Imperialist States of Amerikastan hanged Japanese officers for), torturing them (something admitted even by the murderous blood soaked war criminal Barack Hussein Obama), and all that outside Amerikastani territory in order to avoid domestic laws…that really helped Imperialist States domestic security, did it, Benson?

The people in Guantanamo are still there because there is no evidence of their guilt.

Gitmo is the American Devil’s Island. We can throw people in there and never have to worry about any kind of due process. It is also incredibly expensive, we are paying 80 million in tax dollars to keep 91 prisoners locked up when we could put them in a supermax for less than ten percent of that cost. Gitmo is often used by our enemies as propaganda in the rest of the world as an example of how we talk freedom and justice and in reality keep our won Devil’s Island. Those who advocate for keeping it also frequently endorse torture. It is truly a black stain on our democracy in the eyes of the world.

Gitmo makes absolutely no sense, except in a political context. Gitmo is an extremely “black stain” on American democracy. It does not keep America safe. It is expensive. It is a recruiting and propaganda tool for America’s enemies. It contavines domestic and international law. If the inmates are guilty of something, prove it in court. If it can’t be proven, release them and accept the consequences, if there are any. But the chances are good that if there is no incriminating evidence, they are innocent, or at least inconsequential. Gitmo is the product of American imperialist crimes, American propaganda, American hysteria, American paranoia. Above all else it is the product of American partisan potitics. Can’t admit the invasion was totally wrong and the prisoners mostly victims; can’t admit the torture of inmates was not only illegal but pointless; can’t admit that Obama is right to close it down and transfer the inmates to American maximum security prisons and give them a fair trial; resist Obama’s initiatives as has been done since they vowed to make him a one term president January 20, 2009.

The whole thing started as a workaround to deny the prisoners rights that we used to claim are the provenance of all humanity. A bush admin lie that, if they didn’t set foot on our soil, they had no rights, underscored by using torture techniques that we executed Japanese prisoners for after WW II.

Obama waits 7 and a half years to push for Guantanamo Bay’s Prison to be closed, and then the libbies whine and cry when he doesn’t get his way immediately.Obama should have thought of this in his first two years when the Democrats had majorities in both house of Congress. Or maybe they wouldn’t have approved it either. Too late now!

Terrorist members of the Global Jihad that were put into Gitmo’s security prison (and treated with respect and pandered to in daily lifestyle of Islam, even to diet and prayer times) are not citizens and do not qualify for legal rights given to America’s citizens. After all, the Jihadis intention and goals are to conquer by terror that includes mass murders of Americans, Israelis and other non-muslim people.-As exoticdoc2 pointed out, released Gitmo terrorists have returned to active Jihad violence and Americans are still their target.-Are some posters on this website also Jihadi? What, you want to see Americans follow Obama’s evil leading, and shut our eyes and ears to the slaughters and the cries for rescue?-Obama and John Kerry, in position to see the Islamic “ethnic cleansing” and “religious cleansing” fully, as well as able to see the facts and numbers and frontline reports, has to now set up a “Study” to determine if Christians are being murdered in a planned Genocide?)-Lord, help us, as the Obama regime certainly won’t.

“Islamic jihad jerks received training for Otto Skorzeny and other "former"SS men in the 1950’s and 60’s."I’ve posted before that the Skorzeny training program was a CIA operation. You should step outside the bubble sometime.

Libs would give prisoners of war Miranda rights, lawyers, and bail. You know, like we did in WWI, WWII, Korea and ‘Nam. Hey, if they had brains they wouldn’t be libs.

Gitmo prisoners were captured with others in a new type of war, different from a State’s uniformed Army. New laws were needed to defend against a sneaky ambush-murder assassin type of war. Gitmo serves well for keeping experienced Jihadis from returning to action, killing and taking slaves from childhood to adult hostages.-I mentioned in my first post about Obama and Kerry being “unsure” if ISIS is engaged in Genocide. A news item reported Kerry was going to set up a “Study” to determine if in fact ISIS is guilty of the international crime of Genocide.-Today I found this news that the European Parliament has already UNANIMOUSLY passed a resolution that refers to the Islamic States (ISIS) killing of religious minorities under its control as “genocide” in the Middle East.-printed 2 pages. http://cnsnews.com/commentary/travis-weber/us-should-call-isis-actions-against-christians-what-they-are-genocide-American Christians want the US government to act with a formal resolution plus joining with other governments to use all means to oppose and try to stop ISIS. Didn’t Hitler’s Holocaust teach us anything? This is a 21st century Jihadi Holocaust.

http://www.cnsnews.com/news/article/lauretta-brown/members-congress-push-recognition-isis-genocide-middle-east-christians-2/24/16 a bi-partisan group of lawmakers called on President Barack Obama and Congress to call the Islamic State’s (ISIS) targeting of Christians in the Middle East “genocide.”-…“the targeting of Christians and other minority groups by ISIS fit the United Nation’s definition of genocide adopted in the 1948 Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide.” (quote of Dr. Gregory Stanton research professor in genocide studies….at George Mason University)
