@Doug Dash-As far as US Census and Labor is concerned ALL people south of the Rio Grande are Latino. Don’t tell that to the Brazilians.

No, I think she funnels any Law Breaker to CCA. Too bad the lazy Feds who are in the pockets of big business can’t enforce their own laws.

Too bad we can’t get our act together in this country. If you can’t stop people from using drugs, legalize and regulate the drugs. All we are accomplishing with our great war on drugs, is the destruction of Mexico by our human trash addicts. Never learned the lesson of prohibition!

While in Guatemala, I observed a hierarchy: Criollo > Criolla > Mestizo > Mestiza > Indigino > indigina. Not certain where the blacks and half-blacks fell into the pecking order. Taking history in college told me that a similar hierarchy existed throughout Central America. Point being, at least in modern Guatemala, that “hispanics” don’t consider themselves to be a single demographic, thus it is rather reductive of us to lump them all together.
