If capitalism is so bad, I assume Mr Rall works for nothing.

I wonder how long it will be before Ted compares Bernie to Hitler. Bernie will eventually do something or say something that Ted disagrees with.

Once Bernie and his comrades seize power, anyone who utters an opposing word will be branded a ‘counter-revolutionary’ and sent off to ‘re-education’ camp. In a short while, he will turn the USA into a totalitarian state under the guise of ‘for the common good’.

Capitalism IS Awesome. It works even better if you don’t let the takers in Society leach off the producers.

Everyone pointed to Venezuela as a wonderful workers paradise – And that worked right up until they ran out of money.

Norway is doing a little better but they are hurting too because the oil price is down.

Capitalism is what has made this country great and if we would unfetter it again this country could move forward. We are declining because we are allowing every loser and sob story to stick their hand in the government treasury and pull out what they need. Instead of demanding hard work from our citizens we are demanding the producers take care of the losers.

@1941gko – It isn’t trolling if you truly believe it. This country wasn’t built on a bunch of takers who expected everything to be done for them.

It was built on hard work, sweat, discipline and self sacrifice for a better life for ones family and community. The Berners are all interested in how they can get Free stuff from the Gubermint because the Democrats have convinced them that the economy is stacked against them. The truth is it isn’t the economy that is stacked against them but their own sense of entitlement and specialness.

My family is living proof that you can start from nothing and grow your family, your home and your wealth through hard work and a willingness to discipline yourself to live within your means.

Trolling implies I’m only saying it to get a reaction out of others. I’m saying it because it is true, it is right, and it is moral.

It’s built on luck. Lots of people work hard and get squat, or they achieve something and it’s taken away from them by someone who’s already rich and doesn’t want competition. If somebody succeeds, they look back and see only their own contribution, and ignore the system that they didn’t build—and they mistakenly believe that anybody could have done it, or that they could have done it if the cards hadn’t fallen their way.

I’ve been feeling considerably less sanguine about the prospect of a Bernie nomination, having just read a survey (warning: 1.2 MB pdf) that, among other things, notes that African-Americans and Latinos have more negative views toward Jews. The level of anti-semitism (as defined in the study) was 22% for blacks, 14% for U.S.-born hispanics, and 36% for foreign-born hispanics.

@Kip – Certainly good fortune helps but it was Thomas Jefferson who said "I’m a greater believer in luck, and I find the harder I work the more I have of it”

Isn’t it funny how everyone thinks THEY work hard and that those who are more successful must have been lucky while THEY got swindled by the system.

I’ve had my set backs and disappointments as well but I don’t attribute my success or anyone else’s to good or bad luck. What separates the successful from the un-successful is how they respond to those disappointments and setbacks.

They are already using hammer and sickle images an urging everyone to “Take a stand against socialism” It doesn’t matter what they do – what matters is who shows up. High voter turnout results in a Democrat win, Republicans win when voter turnout is low.

Really? Che (from Cuba) the hero of America’s left had death squads to round up dissidents. It’s our modern liberals that wear his likeness, Republicans understand that he is a mass murderer.
