I want a “None of the above” option listed. Unless, of course, it’s listed anywhere but last.

With a loss likely in the Granite State on Tuesday, Clinton has targeted Sanders. In the last weeks, Clinton, her husband, daughter, allied super PACs, surrogates and member of Congress have accused Sanders of hypocrisy, inconsistency and cutting corners. If anyone knows about intense scrutiny – it’s the Clintons. After decades of Republican (nonsense) appraisals she is ready to turn her focus on her Democrat opponent.

I’ll start off by saying I’ve never lived in Iowa but I support the current system..The reason Iowa is first actually comes down to a new Iowa Democratic Party rule in 1972 that said they had to hold it 60 days before the convention for administrative purposes. It wasn’t a big deal because primaries weren’t really that important at the time – most candidates having been selected quietly. But that year McGovern took advantage of the new rule to campaign door-to-door. He overwhelmingly beat expectations which garnered some press. Four years later, an unknown Jimmy Carter took his down-home wholesome act to Iowa and blew away the other candidates. Suddenly Iowa was seen as important..The biggest negative of this kind of campaigning is it seems to last forever and, yes, it lowers the importance of later states..However, the arguments for are numerous. First, Iowans take their job extremely seriously. They’re more conservative than the average voter, yes, but that also speaks to how much they vet. The candidates are required to really define their platforms and answer questions that the media and the masses never get to ask. Iowa populace is pretty spread out so individuals get to speak one-on-one with the candidates. It also gives those candidates – like Sanders or Cruz – an opportunity to float to the top because it doesn’t cost a billion dollars in ads. It also helps remove the weak from the herd. Finally, because of how Iowa caucuses, the vote itself is a debate and discussion, not an anonymous pull of a lever.

“The lack of education among liberal posters on this site really stands out.”Denis, it’s pretty obvious you never read responses to your you posts. I’ve debunked so many factual failures in your posts it’s ridiculous. We all know what the current system is with Iowa & New Hampshire. Comicsfan was questioning why we adhere to that system. “Because”, stopped being a satisfactory answer for me around the age of four. Obviously, you have no substantive response.I’d love to have primaries on April 16th, so we can talk about why Wall Street insiders pay a lower tax rate than people who work for a living. If you read responses, maybe you could justify why most of the GOP candidates want to eliminate Capital Gains taxes completely, which would make those… people on Wall Street completely off the hook on taxes.Any other conservatives care to explain why playing the stock market for quick gains deserves special treatment? I’d happily grant a tax waiver on capital investments that are held for 10 years if everything else is taxed as ordinary income. Owning a property or a stock for 10 years is an investment that contributes to long term growth. Owning one for 6 months is not.
