The Draft Reform deal that applies an “emergency brake” on migrant benefits. This brake is supposed to be applied only when Britain’s welfare system is deemed to be under exceptional strain from immigration. So is that Trump trying to convince them that it’s a good idea and they need a bigger boat to dump the immigrants? And there is a shark coming because this is just a British climb-down and the plan will fail?

It’s funny watching this from Austria although I’m stillbased in London. My family back in England are all considering taking on British nationality just in case Britain actually decides to leave…A few years back on this forum I pffft at the notion that Britain might leave the EU. I’m not so sure now either. How things have swung round.

However, what are on most European nations’ minds are the refugees coming from the Middle-East and Northern Africa. The Brexit issue is much lower on their agendas. That said, Merkel is very worried about a Brexit so Cameron might get a few concessions, but like the cartoonist suggests, not enough to pacify the British Euro-sceptics who want to abandon the EU.
