Squirrel: Middle of winter...Everything covered in snow...Not a single nut to be found...Wait....what's that glowing light? A vending machine! And it s filled with nuts! Walnuts! Hazelnuts! Acorns! This is unbelievable!! Huh? What the....it only takes Czechoslovakian money?? Why on Earth would it only take Czechoslovakian money?? Poncho: Heh heh, that may have been the most expensive and time-consuming squirrel burn I've ever pulled, but it was so worth it.

I remember something like that in NY years ago, in the park so you could buy something to feed the squirrels and birds. Of course that was yeeeaaarrs ago, a vending machine wouldnt exist 5 seconds in Central Park now. Maybe it was the Bronx zoo I saw it (I’m talking 40-50 years ago)

How old is this strip? There hasn’t been any Czechoslovakia since January 1, 1993. Although I suppose Poncho could have gotten an obsolete vending machine cheap….
