The difference has NOTHING to do with race!! It is all about taking over a federal facility in the middle of a crowded American city, and taking over a federal facility in the middle of nowhere. If that is a relatively conservative opinion, then at least this once I am relatively conservative. But you simply can not compare the two situations as regards to race!!
Afterall, if disgruntled white people wer to take over the federal building on Wilshire Blvd, in West Los Angeles California I am certain that the federal responce would NOT be to ignore it, as the people doing such a law breaking act would then be a PUBLIC danger regardless of their particular race. Good Grief people, gat real here!!!!
A suggestion: put a blockade around the building at a relatively safe distance and wait it out. Eventually more level heads will prevail. They made their point without bloodshed. Now the “gubment” needs to do the same . . .
A couple years ago, a guy was rumored to be looking to buy PRIVATE land in Bly, Oregon, for an “al Qaeda training camp”, and the government as well as everyone else went on the warpath to prevent the sale, and there was much talk of Muslim efforts to inflict Sharia law on America. Nobody had guns, nobody even showed up, no sale occurred, but panic ensued.
Bundy comes looking to start another “Ruby Ridge” attack on the government, as in TAXPAYERS, with guns, and some (a minority of even right wingers) are mistaken in thinking anything he says is true, or not treason.
Hmm, a guy in Philadelphia ambushes a cop, claims he supports ISIL, and it’s immediately and act of terrorism in the news. He used a gun stolen from a police officer btw. But the Bundy bunch are just “disgruntled ranchers”???
Another history note btw regarding the Bundy bunch; when Nevada entered the union, they REFUSED TO ACCEPT over 90% of the land the government offered them, seeing it as worthless. They only asked for around Viriginia City, some around what became Las Vegas, and where they knew there might be gold. The high percentage of federal ownership is because they didn’t WANT the land! Also, a lot is military reservation (some grazed btw), not just BLM and Forest Serice. Incidentally, Nevada is mostly Basin and Range province, and the state passed up some fantastic, gorgeous mountain country that went mostly to F.S., while the bottom land between mostly went BLM.
The Bundy family started ranching by the way in 1948, and the Hammonds in Oregon only came in around 1968, not hardly “generations” of ranchers in the more accepted sense. In my area, just north of Nevada, most of the famlies came in the mid to late 1800’s and were sheep ranchers from Ireland for the most part.

The first time I’ve ever seen black face used appropriately. This whole situation would be different if they were a few shades darker.

In a group? Hardly, I don’t think there any police shootings in riot areas..Individually though… swiss cheese.
