Boy talk about being behind the curve, the other cartoonist covered this days ago. They all had a great time with it, and must have been so grateful to the poor NASA guy who made the stupid comment.

If you care about America going into space, and I do, then look at what the GOP did to our space program, they cut NASA’s budget every year they were in power, Bush cut the program for the replacement for the Space Shuttle, and it took an uprising by the science community to get the funding to repair the Hubble Telescope.

Reagan wanted NASA to land a Man on the Soviet world and return him safely to the earth.

Kennedy got us the Bay of Pigs and Vietnam. Johnson finally got us on the moon. This cartoon really makes very little sense unless you are a conservative, I suppose.

Ken: You want to save money and the p[rogram? Demilitarize NASA. As a civilian operation with government funding, it returned $8 in domestic money for every $1 spent. Then they let the military take over…It hasn’t shown a profit since AND we’ve lost lives. No doubt a contractor is getting rich, but I don’t think that was the original objective of the advanced research we got from the experiments.

Tom: Johnson got us the moon and anything else he wanted because of the Kennedy’s death. The man was the consummate pol who leveraged everything to get his way and NASA was a Kennedy program LBJ emoted through along with Civil Rights legislation and the build up that made VietNam a war instead of a “action”.

Hey guys, Nixon was president when we got to the moon, not Johnson. Johnson is the guy who threw the Social Security money into the general fund to use it for the Vietnam war.

the “stupid comment” was not made by Bolden, new head of NASA (Non Astronauts-in-Space Agency) it was the stupid instructions given Bolden by Emperor Obama and quoted by Bolden.

except to people who twist and pervert facts, in a campaign of anti-GOP and PRO-Obama.

As opposed to aniti-Obama and pro neo-con, dis? Sorry we don’t all buy your line, but that;’s democracy which allows disagreement. A foreign concept to you, I’m sure.

Loco, the guys made it to the moon BEFORE Nix took over. i was THERE. It was as LBJ was going out the door, but Tricky was NOT sworn in. 1968

Uh, freeholder, though I wouldn’t give Nixon credit for the Apollo program, the Apollo 11 moon landing wasn’t until July 20, 1969.

The real point of the toon of course is that folks still think it’s a good idea to tick off and degrade a population around one and a half BILLION people, to allow a world population of 15 million to call all the shots for us.

It might also be an idea to note that ending the strife with the USSR (now “Russia”) benefitted us. Our corporations greatly benefited by NIXON opening the door to China (but OUR corporations used it to export all our jobs and production capacity- for their profit.)

South Asia and the Pacific is largely Muslim, it isn’t just “the middle east”. Pakistan has nukes. It might also be worth noting how many Hindus are in India.(right at a BILLION)

It is time for a “Christian” nation, which actually isn’t under the Constitution, to wake up and smell the roses, petunias, zinnias, and irises, and realize it IS A DIVERSE WORLD, and maybe it is WE who need an “attitude adjustment”, because we can’t afford a military to remain in control of the whole world. Russia knew it, China knows it, and we can’t seem to let it sink in.

Where are the tea baggers to point out NASA us unconstitutional and should be eliminated? The DoE is a shell for military nukes and they want to axe that.

The important thing about Obama is that he is not Bush, we needed and wanted change - if you think he is a poor President what do you think of one who let us be attacked by terrorist, invaded a country that had nothing to do with the attack, and then ran the war so badly by never providing our troops with enough equipment, material, or man power, removed our troops from one war they were winning to use then in the other war so that now we are losing that war, who spied on us and then lied about it, who allowed small business to fail, millions to lose their jobs and home, and took no action until the BANKS were in trouble, and then just threw money at them.

Jimmy Carter was better, even Ford was better and he was only Presdent for a few years.

Face the truth: Bush was one of our worse Presidents.

You do realize that you are saying something against Bush, so HOW how about details, what do you think were his mistakes, what problems did he leave us?

@ Howgy: if Obama leaves office with the economy in a much worse state than what he inherited, during his time there was another large act of terrorism against the US for which the perpetrator has not been brought to justice, with several more wars the US is involved in… yeah you might have a case.

Granted, you might not have a country if he performs as admirably as his predecessor did, but you’d have a case.

OH HOW HOW HOW – “His Congress spent too much!!! What the President has no control over spending, or over Congress?? You have heard of the Veto haven”t you.

Well HOW. looking back at your posts it is clear that you will never, never try to engage in any discussion, or look at any facts. It is fun pointing out your errors, and mis-quotes, but there is no sense trying to teach this pig to dance.

Please don’t change your posts they are fun to read, and they let others see just how a Conservatives mind works.
