Lupin: There's a new cat in the backyard. We go live to Tommy to find out more! Tommy: Before we continue, sir... May I smell your nose? (SNIFF SNIFF SNORT SNORT SNORT) Tommy: So...Who are you? What's your name? Burt: Name's Burt. I'm a barn cat. Tommy: Barn cat.... Barn cat- Is that some kind of owl? Tommy: What brings you to the back yard? Burt: Just a morning walk. I like this stone wall for my coffee sipping. Puck: So handsome! Elvis: Get off our stone wall! Burt: I live on the farm through the woods. This is my wall, but it's long enough to share. Elvis: IT'S SHORT AND WE NEED ALL OF IT- Lupin: Oh, shush. Why have we never seen you before? Elvis: Walked by plenty. I'm just not a "stare in the windows" type. Tommy: Seriously, who DOES that? Burt: Well, got to start my morning's work. You're welcome to join me, if you'd like.

And we take a walk into Burt’s world. I love Tommy’s reply when Burt says he’s not a “stare in Windows type” “Seriously, who does that?”and the sheepish smile. What wonderful cat expressions!

I hadn’t noticed in the previous strip, Tommy has a bow tie with his Hawaiian shirt…I guess the tie & jacket are to show how professional he is. :)

Poor Elvis. He just got reconciled to Tommy in the backyard. I too fear he’s going to sprain his fur-springer-thingy. I think I associate with Elvis; we have many, uh, attitudes in common.
