So while out on the walk you stop at the pub for a pint or two and a dart game. You are still walking. Fred will get some yummy from the patrons at the pub so it is win,win :-)

Sure, he’ll be walking from the oche to the board and back a few times during the game.

I do hope Shandy was given a dish of beer and lemonade to wash down those crisps.

A question for Brits, Aussies and Kiwis – Are public houses – bars, pubs, etc., tolerant of dogs accompanying the paying patrons? Here in the US it seems the vast majority of such places say “No pets, except service animals” (such as seeing eye dogs, etc.). But the Fred cartoon has Fred accompanying his people into many places where a dog wouldn’t be welcome here. Any thoughts?

RootsInDMNot one to frequent bars, my knowledge on this subject is limited. However, I don’t recall seeing any entering or leaving Canadian establishments. However, as late as 1978, they had separate entrances for females (widely disregarded – even by lumberjacks in drag).
