You know, we COULD maybe keep our shopping limited to fewer, less-expensive, more thoughtful gifts! And, there are still some surviving, small, independently-owned stores in your town, or next town, that carry many interesting or unusual items that your loved one may appreciate..I am of an older generation (and I got to see the really COOL bands!) and I somehow think that getting on this computer screen, and scrolling around for a present for someone you supposedly love, or at least like, diminishes the spirit of gift-giving, and takes away from the personal side of maintaining relationships. It becomes a chore to be done. “CLICK, BUY, SEND!” Great, now Mary’s out of the way!.(I know, I know. I’ll crawl back into the hole from whence I emerged.)
