It’s finally a start, so naturally, deniers backed by the fossil fuel industry are running scared.

I do not accept “global warming” or “climate change” as a government jurisdiction.-God who created earth is also the Sustainer of earth.Nothing humans can invent can effect earth climate. Period.-What has just been agreed to by a group of officials of many nations, is a HOAX and a CON-GAME of Socialists robbing Private Wealth. It is Marxist “redistribution of wealth” by deception. Congress, since they craftily chose not to agree to a legal treaty, will have no say or vote to represent the People who are also the Taxpayers who must foot the bills$$$.-I hope supporters such as dtroutma will not only be happy to pay new taxes, but also donate to the cause! lol

There are benefits to being a Know-Nothing, like not having your bias or anyone else’s bias effect your observation of data. Such as with CO2, the data shows that it spikes after the temperature goes up. Don’t believe me?http://www.sciencemag.org/content/339/6123/1060.abstract

It’s so reassuring when one comes across people less intelligent and more determined to believe in fantasies than one. Makes one feel better about oneself.

Nobody described most conservatives better than Bobby Jindal when he said “Republicans have to stop being the STUPID Party!”

@jack75287…I have read in the Bible about many “climate changes” done by God!-First, God made earth like Eden, lush, productive, fruitful, and Adam’s Gardener job was easy….no weeds, no bugs.-Then the curse of Sin brought every sort of hindrance, but even then the single continent was watered by dew at night, no storms, no rain….until mankind became so evil that God sent a world flood and saved Noah and his family, 8 humans, and pairs of animals to refill earth with Noah’s family and the animal kingdom.-After the flood (over 1 year long) broke up the foundations of earth, in a man named Peleg’s lifetime, the one continent broke up and the present 7 continents drifted to where they are today. The flood waters came from a new thing on earth, RAIN, plus waters underneath earth and waters above our earth atmosphere. Now climate added rain and storms and circulation of waters and the cycle of evaporation of oceans to form clouds and rain and the forming of runoff water by creeks and rivers into the ocean to evaporate again.-God has always been in charge, and God made this earth to be eternal (with another big change in a thousand years or so) and God will make the climate as He chooses. Yes, earth holds evidence that debris and bodies from Noah’s flood were buried in the upheavals, forming coal, oil, gas, ores, gems, etc. There are tropical leaves, etc, in rocks on high mountains. The Flood’s upheavals caused many changes. Ice and snow at the poles are a result of God’s changes. -I trust God to keep His word and promise, to maintain earth forever, and to maintain mankind in the earth home and to bring the New Jerusalem to either hover over or sit upon the New Earth, at God’s pre-set time.-Don’t miss it. Ask God the Father to forgive your sin habit that God the Son died to pay for, so you could be forgiven and your name remain in Jesus’ Book of Life. I did that, millions of others have done that, and we look forward to God’s Future for all of us who are trusting in the name of the only Savior, Messiah Jesus the Christ.

Dear DisgustedAmerican. Your faith reminds me of the story in the bible of the temptation of Christ. The devil said “throw yourself off this cliff and your father will save you”. It seems to me quite arrogant to assume that God will pull your bacon out of the fire if you are wrong about this. And We HAVE affected the climate clearly in the past. There were forests around Rome. They were chopped down to build Roman fleets and buildings.

More recently, we saw the acid rain killing our trees. We fixed that. We saw aerosol products opening up a giant hole in the ozone. We fixed that too. I have hopes that we can fix this as well. But I think it is also said that God helps he who helps himself. We won’t get there by sitting on our butts waiting for the mana from heaven to fall into our open mouths. We’ll have to get off the couch and do a lot of the work ourselves.

What I fail to understand is that the deniers also do not seem to realize the many positives of fighting these climate changes that do not have anything to do with the climate changes themselves. So many positives that alone would make it worthwhile to stop burning fossil fuels for energy and transportation use. We would not even need climate change as an excuse for this action. It IS the icing on the cake of turning our entire civilization over to an electric civilization with the electricity itself being generated by non fossil burning methods!!

No reasonable person is saying that we can eliminate fossil materials totally from our civilization. Such uses as the petrochemical industries with plastic, medicines, and even food aditives, are precious to our civilization. This along with lubricants for our moving machinery, and coolants for our cutting machines are also going to be needed for any forseeable future. In fact, it is one of the better reasons for not just burning these precious materials (expecially for the future of human civilization) up into the atmosphere for our immediate energy and transportation benefits.

And this burning of these fossil fuels also adds many other pollutants to our thin and vulnerable atmosphere that have nothing to do with climate change. A great deal of the human misery of lung diseases is caused by these pollutants. Ever try holding your breath for more than a few minutes at most? Well, if the atmosphere becomes polluted enough with these materials, then human life (and all other air breathing life along with it) will be just a historical note on this pretty blue globe of life. Perhaps those that think such a change over would be too expensive for their particulat tastes, shoud stop to think about that for future generations!!!!

There is more I could post, but I would like to think that at least the more intelligent posters here get my point, and I have been told that my posts are sometimes overly long anyway, so I will stop at this point!!

http://thefederalist.com/2015/12/14/paris-climate-change-alarmists-con-themselves/-@WGW101…..(teacher?) (Lord help the students research on their own!)-IMO, these “climate change”/“global warming” eco-nuts have a huge bump-in-the-road to ignore and bury:-truly scientific studies have shown there IS NO EARTH WARMING. For 18 to 20 years! NO WARMING!-IMO, “climate changers” are worse than the Enron scandal; they are “global Conmen”…..out to tax the blood from turnip taxpayers and to debt-spend into infinity for worthless projects and to enrich themselves and their friends. Humbug!

Too many don’t even understand the air pollution that results from burning coal. No wonder they don’t understand the connection of burning fossil fuels and climate change.

@Hiram…..really?There are numerous scientists who have written opinions with data and evidences against the THEORY of global warming, particularly the THEORY that claims it will cause coastal flooding, etc.-ask.com lists several, here is one short prints 2 pages summary of 5 scientific reasons that “Global Warming Isn’t Happening”!-http://townhall.com/columnists/johnhawkins/2014/02/18/5-scientific-reasons-that-global-warming-isnt-happening-n1796423/page/full-“Science” is “provable and repeatable demonstration” of a proposed theory. God is the Ultimate Scientist, and God gave clues to us about the earth changes, all under His control. I would be very hesitant to try to argue with the Creator of the Universe! I prefer my “science” explained by scientists who study and report and verify results with God’s version, written for our benefit, in the Bible.-Hiram, your 2nd post is 100% false, I never posted that 200,000 scientists in one afternoon concocted the hoax of climate change! I am posting my serious opinions but you are posting inanities, and trying to ridicule my views.

today I found another interesting article….reporting evidences in the earth of past “hot times” and past “cold times”; I accept evidences, but the PC datings are all circular….and very, very unreliable. I do not take every “scientific” opinion as Gospel Truth.-@Hiram…conservatives can and do quote scientists as they did in the article I gave the url for. If you had read it Hiram, mention was made of facts: “Over 31,000 scientists signed a petition saying man isn’t causing global warming. More than 1,000 scientists signed on to another report saying THERE IS NO GLOBAL WARMING (now) AT ALL.”
