I remember the days before EZ Pass. I would ue pennies when I got the right amount, They HATE that! Almost as much as I hated pennies in my change holder! Now they’ve all been replaced my electronic tolls. I bet they hate that too!
I remember the bad old days on the IL tollroad – I worked for HoJo’s filling vending machines at the oasis restaurants – and the lines of cars backed up in the manual toll lanes were ridiculous. And there was probably someone trying to ask directions of the toll taker, many of which they’d have no idea nor reason to know. And the lines got longer…

Maryland no longer had toll collectors. If you don’t have E-Z Pass, they take a picture of your license plate and send you a bill.
