The digital signal mandates a better antenna because it has a lower range and gets scrambled by major weather conditions. We lost al coverage during a major tornado.
We had an elderly lady who lived alone, near deaf and blind. One time she called bacause her TV stopped working. I went over and found it had a cable/TV selector switch and was set to cable, even though she didn’t have it. I pushed it, and the regular channel came on, all snowy, blurry and noisy. She said “That’s GREAT!” So I left.
