They are all nuts. Fix the mentally ill problem. You don’t punish those who are not guilty and don’t have a problem with firearms by making it harder for law abiding citizens to enjoy their constitutional right.

Yes, these are nuts with guns (you missed Umpqua Community College), but the simple fact is, “mentally ill” folks are only responsible for 5% of mass shootings. Most are committed by gangs, criminals, or sometimse ticked off family members who “lose it” in a moment of violence.

Depends on whether the voice is saying something you want to believe.

And, I didn’t even list all the OT verses commanding genocide against religious enemies; but I suppose you, being a good christian, don’t consider the OT to be part of god’s word (except the part about owing as many guns as you want, of course).

Yes, access to guns in America is too easy, and yes, more controls need to be put in place. However, as some here have alluded, the problem is of course not just the guns, it is the minds of those who act out in these ways with them. I agree with Samuel L. Jackson when he says: "I don’t think it’s about more gun control. I grew up in the South with guns everywhere and we never shot anyone. This is about people who aren’t taught the value of life.” I would amend his statement to read, “I don’t think it’s only about more gun control,” but otherwise he is right. The world as a whole – as the problem is not limited to America by any means – needs to change. People everywhere need to ultimately realize that we are all one. Easier said than done…
