The hypocrisy of those welcoming preferential illegal immigration of ONLY one nation -Mexico- just overwhelms my gizzard. Simple fairness ain’t what they are after. Those racist bozo’s from LA: Villaraigosa, Delagadillo, Hahn…your elected office days are numbered and you can take that to the bank (better hurry).

At a time when the recession is deepening, the oil is spreading, out troops are dying, our education system is a mess, and people are still losing their homes and their jobs, we waste time arguing over a non-issue.
Even if we rounded up and got rid of all of the illegals it would have no effect except to costs millions.
There is a simple fix for this problem, enforce the current laws, and spend the money and time to build a Immigration system that works, so that business can quickly find out if the person they want to hire is legal.
Supply and Demand – If there is a Demand then somehow a supply will set up to meet the Demand, elimate the Demand and the Supply will dry up.
If business and people only hire legals (which is what the law says they are suppose to do) then illegals will find no work and go home.

Several years ago our enlightened legislature passed a law making it illegal to hire an illegal alien. A business which knowingly hired an illegal alien would face the loss of their business license for 10 days for a second offense, permanently for a third offense. Businesses had a ‘get out of jail free’ card they could use - verify all new employees through E-Verify. There are an estimated 400,000 illegal aliens in Arizona. So far TWO businesses have been charged with hiring illegal aliens. In this time Sheriff Joe Arpaio has been using the funds earmarked for investigating businesses to conduct sweeps for illegal aliens.
But it gets worse. Currently if ‘Sheriff Joe’ (Actually one of his Deputies, ‘Sheriff Joe’ only plays the role on TV.) apprehends an illegal immigrant the perp is turned over to ICE agents and released in Mexico.
Under SB1070 the perp would be booked into jail, and enter our legal system. A defense attorney would have to be assigned (and paid), there would be an arraignment, and if he pled innocent, a trial. How’s that for saving money!!!

“Sheriff Joe” has always been more than a bit of a jerk. If he got caught in his own system, boy would he be screaming from beneath his gag.
