Those politicians who don’t want to help the refugees have not thought this through.1. The screening of refugees is so thorough that it takes nearly 2 years to process each one.2. Considering that fact, no refugees will arrive for nearly 2 years.3. to offer succor and a helping hand will build good will and show the world that we are not just terrified bunnies.4. to refuse to help will make enemies by our lack of the American values in this editorial.5. If a little boy is welcomed to come here he will think of us as friends and less likely to become terrorists, conversely , turning him and his family’s most desperate hour of need will cause that same kid to despise Americans. We used to be the home of the brave and land of the free. Now it is the home of the frightened and land of the spied on by our own government. What would Jesus do with the broken hearted and homeless, fleeing for their lives?

Your biggest risk when you go somewhere is getting killed in an auto accident. That risk is hundreds of times greater than getting killed by a terrorist and it is something you can do a lot about through your behaviour and driving skills. In fact getting killed by lightning is about three times more likely than being killed by a terrorist. FDR a said “Only Thing We Have to Fear Is Fear Itself” So RELAX and help out desperate people even if they aren’t from Texas.

You’d think they’d want to let the refugees in…the loss of a few lives would be worth “I told you so!”….

Here’s just one more thought. Has anyone looked up the number of Americans killed by Syrian terrorists vs the number of Syrians killed by American drones (which to Syrians may well be considered a form of terror).

Another quote from the link from echoraven:

“Thousands of people each year make the dangerous sea journey from North Africa to Europe’s Mediterranean coast, often aboard vessels poorly equipped for the trip. Many of them attempt the voyage to flee war and poverty in Africa and the Middle East.”

Has absolutely nothing to do with they Syrian war. PLEASE STOP SPREADING LIES AND FEAR ON FALSE INFORMATION!

Toles has listed some of the hardly recognized themes “conservative Americans” have made a total embarrassment to real Americans who support REAL American values and the Constitution

Which, when it comes to all the morons screaming “sharia law”, I suggest they read the views/policy/intent of the “Constitution Party”, that is a total oxymoron. The constant call for “Christian Sharia” to dominate all our lives makes a few Muslim refugees FLEEING from Sharia states, ludicrous.

Theocracy, from ANY religious foundation, is the most intolerant, obsessive, violent, and anti-freedoms of any form of government, period.

Article VI, and the First Amendent make it abudantly clear that the Untied States is by its Constitution, defined as a SECULAR form of government, where all are free to practice their religion, but are NOT free to dominate others with their views written into law. The "relgious right’, which is NEITHER, has been violating these basic guidances with a fervor since Eisenhower’s day and the insertion of that violation “under God” added to the pledge of allegience.

MIgrants are credited with BUILDING this nation, and their latter-day descendants devoted to religious, ethnic, and racial intolerance, are the ones out to destroy it, in the name of their “god”. Whose laws were assigned to Moses, and are the same in Christianity, Judaism, AND Islam, destorted and bastardized by modern day “interpreters of the faith”.

Old Texan75A more important text in Matthew 25 about welcoming the stranger..ChevJames007Since “Sharia law” is essentially whatever the local iman says it it, most muslims don’t want to live under any given sharia. Indeed most are not only happy with a secular government, but currently live in one. You want to keep them out by destroying the secular government prescribed by the Constitution – by violence if considered necessary. Read the definition of treason in that document. Your unregulated gunnie “militias” are levying war and have killed more Americans than any mid-east import, including 9/11 and the invasion of Iraq. .Comicsfan222Under that ban, none of the research from St. Jude’s hospital would exist because Danny Thomas would have been exiled.

So the reason they want to forbid Sharia law is so it won’t compete with their theocracy after they amend the 1st amendment…? Like one theocracy is any different from another…
