In any immigration of any ethnic group there is the risk of the odd bad apple. We have various gangs and criminal elements now such as the Bloods, the Crips, various mafia affiliations, etc. Does that mean no Italians, for example, should have been accepted as immigrants? All the present criminal activity and violence is by individuals whose relatives were once immigrants (except aboriginals). Chances are the Syrian refugees looking to escape terrorism and establish a normal life for their family would be some of the most hard working, peaceful people in the country. This hysterical reaction by mainly Republican governors looks more like politics than substance. Unfortunately, innocent refugees are hurt once again.

I am not surprised that brave states with tons of armed individuals are terrified to take in Syrian families. I guess they are as scared of Syrian children as they are of Mexican children.

Seventy five percent of the US population are Christian. It is amazing to me that a religion that entreats people to be the good samaritan and to treat others as you would treat yourself is so focused on abandoning refugees forced to leave their country to survive and to want to go into a country halfway around the world and start another major war that would kill countless civilians. They also want to send eleven million immigrants back to Mexico including children who have known no other country than the US. I guess it is all OK as long as you go to church on Sunday.

Ted, it’s not about values, it’s about common sense. For the Syrian refugee crisis, I saw this interesting analogy that sums up my concerns most aptly: If you have a bunch of grapes and you are told 2 of them are poisonous, but not which 2, do you eat any of the grapes? Of course not, because the first one you eat could kill you.There may be 99,000 good refugees that are seeking to escape the crisis (won’t say you caused it – hint, hint), but there are also likely 1,000 terrorists that are looking to make their way here. While we are the shining beacon of liberty in the world, we are also the biggest target to these thugs. So I ask you this: Who in your immediate family or close circle of friends are you willing to offer up as a sacrifice to give those 99,000 people refugee homes here? Because it could be your family that ends up the victim of a terror attack. It could be mine. It could be anyone’s. Are you willing to sacrifice not only your family, but someone else’s, because you have a bleeding heart for Syrian refugees? Most of us who are calling for caution on this are the very same people who warned about Obama’s mishandling of the middle east. We warned against pulling out of Iraq like we did. Look what happened: ISIS filled the void. We warned about not nipping ISIS in the bud when they were small. He did “targeted strikes,” and now they are massive, occupying a large part of the middle east. We said we needed to keep the fight there, with boots on the ground. He didn’t, and now we have the islamic terrorists attacked Paris, costing over 129 people their lives. You know, somehow “I told you so,” doesn’t quite do it justice. So those of you who support letting the refugees enter unabated may want to start listening to the people who had enough foresight to see this kind of situation developing before it did. Or do you need another attack on US Soil to wake up? Because that’s what’s next.

Yep, that’s them those refugees – chock full of terrorism. And who could blame us for our cowardice: those fleeing terrorism are very, very scary (especially those damn chilidren). We need to get rid of them, the Italians (mobsters), Irish (like me – troublemakers), Canadians (damn their arrogant civility), and a whole mess of others. Them terrorists have got us quaking in our boots. Be afraid. Be very afraid.

The pigs aren’t very smart. Must have been educated in Public Schools?? I can remember what FDR said after the Japanese attacked Pearl Habour on December 7th, 1941. He said, “This is nothing to worry about, its just their way to get attention” I am working on a plan, trust me." Then he fired all the Generals and Admirals that disagreed with him. Oh wait, that was Obama. Sorry, my mind is going south.

I’m more afraid of the local gun nuts than I am of possible terrorists (from anywhere).

“Radical Christians” don’t knock on our doors and threaten us with death if we don’t convert to their faith because they can’t get away with it. Yet. I hope that continues. Pro-Birthers (who care nothing for the unwanted child once it’s born) bomb and set fire to abortion clinics, kill doctors who are safely and legally performing abortions, intimidate women who are seeking to end unplanned pregnancies, and do everything they can to keep information about birth control out of the hands of those who need it most. All because there are people who don’t share their beliefs.

Nothing like heinous attacks by extremists in Paris to bring out the finest in American values.

If conservatives would support education for ALL instead of keeping people in the gutter, you wouldn’t have them!!!!

I think most want to be sympathetic and help the refugees however ISIS has promised to send jihadist in with the refugees. why ? for 2 reasons 1 they want to kill you 2 they don’t want us to help the refugees. until there is a way to vet them safely lets accept the children and elderly (70 + yrs) and tell the others they will be quarantined until we can make sure they are who they say they are. It may sound un-american to some but we must balance the security of the nation with our compassion. Also there is the issue of states rights and the administration has not been forth coming on the people they are resettling .where?

Not all Muslims are terrorists, but all terrorists are Muslims.

If the wolf represents radical Islam, as it is labeled, then the pigs have nothing to fear. Muslims, especially the radical fundamentalist ones, don’t eat pork.
