    I prefer the Saturday AFTER Thanksgiving.That’s when I make MY favorite dish—-TLC.TLC = turkey leftover casserole.I actually like the casserole better than the “official” Thanksgiving dinner.In a big oven-safe bowl, throw turkey, mashed and/or sweet potatoes, cranberry sauce, stuffing, & any veggie you desire, Stir; cover with gravy. Cook 350 degrees F for 45 min to 1 hour 15 minutes (depends on amount). Give thanks for leftovers. Eat!

    When I was young, my mother made “refrigerator stew” every week. That was ANY leftovers in the fridge. “Waste not..want not”. So, I’m quite used to “cleaning out the fridge.”

    Back in the day, when school cafeterias made real food, Friday was always vegetable soup made from the left over vegetables during the week. Soup, peanut butter and honey sandwich and 1/2 of an orange with white milk. My favorite lunch!
