Two or more rhinoceri are called a “crash of rhinos” (as opposed to a herd of cattle or a pride of lions). Given their reported poor eyesight I guess it’s understandable how a group of them would come to be called that………

The rhino looks resigned to doing whatever demolition work he is assigned to. Just hope he stops after completing what is on the permit, unlike last time.

Of course Cleo is a Drama Queen! And we love her for it!

Hey Nighthawks – appreciate the effort drawing shadows, but the direction is a bit inconsistent. And Cleo’s tail is not casting a shadow, what does that mean?

I have to say I think the crowd ten years ago did a pretty comprehensive job on this one. Carry on.

C’mon Cleo, quit making such a big deal out of it. That’s why Dog invented toilet bowls.

    A desert illusion….

in the July 13th  2020 “CLEO and COMPANY”…

Hardly an illusion, in Santa Rosa this week….

Every day, they change the forecast… so you go to bed expecting a cool week ahead… but the morning all the predictions are for scorchers.

Today was predicted to be in the 80’s… but it was 93° Now they say it’ll drop down to the 70’s by the weekend.

Right… I’ll let Charlie Brown kick that football.

Anyway, as Farside suggested… there’s always the toilet.

You might think Cleo couldn’t reach it.

Well, you’d think she couldn’t drive a tank, either.

Besides that… bassets are big dogs… just short legged… and from what I’ve seen, they can get into anything.

    My brother’s rescue basset was small… actually, supposedly 3/4 Basset, 1/4 beagle…

but he not only drank from the toilet… and then put his dripping head in your lap…

He stole food right off the dinner table.

You couldn’t keep a napkin in your lap… he circled around under the table and took them all.

They said he also got up on a kitchen counter, and stole cookies from a bag in the cupboard.

Since my niece and nephew were about 4 and 7, at the time… I had a wee doubt or two… but they swore it wasn’t the kids.

Anyway, Cleo also reminds me of a friend’s daughter.

When she was small, long ago, she’d come to my house for a week, every summer.

    Her parents were incredibly dramatic..

They argued all the time, with high dudgeon and throwing of things..

It was a bit hard to be heard in their household, so their only child became Queen of the drama queens.

She wouldn’t just ask for a drink of water….

especially if anyone else was around, and she could embarrass me.

She would throw herself on the floor, peer up with a pitiful expression, and moan loudly… "I’m SOOOO thirsty! "

Good Morning, Ballardeers! 211,122 days of madness creeping into my already not too stable mind…

And they’re coming to take me away ha-haaa

    They’re coming to take me away ho-ho hee-hee ha-haaa

    To the funny farm

Where life is beautiful all the time

And I’ll be happy to see those nice young men

    In their clean white coats

And they’re coming to take me away ha-haaa

Cleo may be a Drama Queen, but “Turd” will sit in front of his dishes and just stare at the one he needs filled. I waited for 10 minutes one time to see if he’d move. Nope. Like a pointer on a bird….just stared.

Y’all stay legally sane out there. (((((HUGS)))))

Cleo’s top panel would make a really good ‘Find the 9 Differences’. Easy for me! I’ll bet I could beat Tigressy on finding them. Hee hee.
